Primavera P6 Professional for Engineers & Planners – Advanced Scheduling
Master Primavera P6 for real construction projects. Build detailed schedules, manage resources and costs, create and maintain baselines, update progress, analyze delays, and produce professional stakeholder reports. This course is designed for civil/mechanical engineers, construction managers, planners, and project controllers.
Duration: 30 hours
Teaching Methodology: Hands-on labs with real construction case studies
Course Schedule: Schedule
Fees: $450
Course Mode: Blended – Face-to-face or online via Zoom
DESCRIPTION
This advanced Primavera P6 course focuses on applying industry best practices in construction scheduling: detailed WBS and activities, logic and CPM analysis, resource/cost planning, baselines, progress updating, and reporting. Participants build and manage a full construction schedule end-to-end.
OBJECTIVES
- Configure enterprise structures (EPS/OBS) and calendars for multi-project environments.
- Build a detailed WBS; create advanced activity types and codes.
- Develop robust logic; analyze float and the critical/near-critical paths.
- Create resources (labor, equipment, materials), costs, and cost accounts; perform resource leveling.
- Create/assign baselines; update progress with actuals; perform delay/recovery analysis.
- Design layouts, filters, and dashboards; export professional reports.
PREREQUISITES
Basic project scheduling knowledge is required (Gantt, activities, relationships). Prior exposure to Primavera is helpful. Solid Excel skills recommended.
